Garden supplies FAQs

I’m new to gardening. What do I need to get started up?

First of all, congratulations. We think you will find gardening to be an enriching, rewarding experience. Secondly, we want you to know that you will need to have a lot of patience. Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither will your garden be.

Now, to answer your question. Some of the most important items that you will need are a small and a large shovel, a lawn mower, hedge clippers, seeds, top soil, fertilizer, and a little perseverance. If you have all of these things, you are well on your way to becoming a master gardener.

What kinds of fruits and vegetables should I grow in my garden?

The answer to this question would depend on what kind of climate you live in, but there are some fruits and vegetables that would grow well anywhere. So, if you want to be able to grow something that you will be able to eat in the next few months, some of the best things you could plant in your garden include:

Cucumbers, tomatoes, squash, potatoes, green beans, carrots and peas. As far as fruit goes, it is a bit harder to harvest since it typically grows on trees, but it may be possible to grow things like pears, peaches and apples if you have enough space for trees in your garden area.

I’m looking for some nice garden accessories, what should I get?

Working in a garden is a lot of hard work, but if you don’t have all of the accessories that you need you will need to find a few in order to better accentuate the work you have completed in your garden. There are obviously a variety of items that you can use, but for starting out you might want to use one of the following.

Small wooden bridges, garden swings, garden benches, lighting that runs throughout the garden area (solar lighting uses very little wiring) or decorative stones.
