Garden statues

The use of garden statues in a garden area is an art. If you have the right number and mixture of these items, the yard can be a beautiful place to be.

On the other hand, the use of the wrong kinds of garden statues, or the use of too many of these statues is something that could affect the beauty of your garden significantly. In order to best know what you should do, follow these guidelines:

• Do not use so many statues that a passer-by cannot see your grass – Using too many of these statues looks like an act of desperation. Also it just looks tacky. More than 2-3 garden statues in a yard at a time is usually not a good idea.
• Use statues that accentuate parts of the garden – If you have a pond, get a statue that is shaped like a fish. If you have big flowers growing, get a statue shaped like a beautiful flower. It is interesting for people to compare the real things with the statues.
• Make a focal point – Some people may want to attract attention elsewhere, but if it is your goal to have the statue noticed more than anything else in the garden, set things up in the garden so they lead a visitor’s eye to the statue. These statues must be big enough to do the job.

Garden statues are fun things to add life and a little personality to a garden. But discretion should always be sued simply to make sure that there are not too many.
